--Early Head Start

The Early Head Start program is the newest addition to CIFC’s commitment to our region’s children and families. Early Head Start serves lower income pregnant women, infants, toddlers and their families. The program is based in Danbury, as the hub for surrounding communities, and offers a combination of home-based and center-based options, designed to provide early, continuous and comprehensive pre-natal, early child development and family support services on a year-round basis.

The schedule ranges from School-day (8:30 am – 3:30 pm) to Full-day (7:30 am – 6:00 pm) in order to accommodate the varied needs of families.

The Early Head Start Program provides comprehensive child development services including education, health, nutrition, mental health, disability services, and social services including family and community partnerships.
